The Keokuk Community School District’s Hawthorne and George Washington schools have once again been awarded the Fresh Fruit and Vegetable Program (FFVP) grant from the Iowa Department of Education.
The FFVP provides all enrolled children in participating schools with a variety of fresh fruits and vegetables throughout the school day, outside of meal service times.
The district’s Food Services Department will administer the program.
