KHS to host 36th annual Senior Citizens Christmas Dinner

The Keokuk High School will host the 36th annual Senior Citizens Christmas Dinner sponsored by the KHS students and staff at noon on Dec. 5 at the First Christian Church, 3476 Main Street. 

The salt free holiday dinner is prepared and served by students from The National Honor Society, Student Council, Special Education classes and the Food Service staff.  Band and choir students will provide the entertainment and Konnection Kids will help with decorating.

There will be a bus service provided by the school district’s Transportation Department to and from the church. Buses will leave from River Terrace at 11:20 a.m., from Mississippi Terrace at 11:25 a.m., and from Hotel Iowa and Heritage Center at 11:30 a.m.

In 2022, more than 400 senior citizens took part in the dinner.  Keokuk citizens, 60 years of age or older, may call the Keokuk High School 319-524-2542, extension 3 to make reservations.
