Pie and Braid sale order pick up and delivery on Nov. 5

Blessing Takorbisong (left front), Lydia Bailey, Kaylee Johnson, Bentley Schrader (left back), Hailey Lambert and Peyson Reed.

The Keokuk Middle School bands have concluded an annual Pie and Braid sales fundraiser.

Items ordered can be picked up from 1-2 p.m. in the KMS Cafeteria on Nov. 5 unless the order was marked for delivery, which will also be delivered on Nov. 5.

The highest seller overall was Hailey Lambert, an eighth grade clarinet and saxophone player, the second highest seller was Bentley Schrader, an eighth grade trombonist, and the third highest seller was Peyson Reed, a sixth grade saxophonist. Other top sellers included sixth graders Blessing Takorbisong, an euphonium player, and Lydia Bailey and Kaylee Johnson, both percussionists.

The KMS bands and director would like to give a big thank you to the community members, band members and parent volunteers that helped out by supporting the sales, coming to help check order forms and helping calculate the funds.

Funds that are raised each year are managed by the Keokuk Band Boosters and help to pay for new instruments, additional teachers and clinicians, accompanists, music, instrument repairs, various supplies, meals at band events, and to cover trip costs.

To make a donation to support the Keokuk Middle School Bands, go to the main office at KMS, email the band director Mrs. Krystal Bottorff, krystal.bottorff@keokukschools.org, or mail-in donations to Keokuk Middle School Bands, c/o Mrs. Bottorff, 2002 Orleans Ave, Keokuk, IA 52632.

Please note with any donation whether or not you would like to be listed with the Music Booster Patrons in the KMS concert programs.
