The Keokuk Middle School bands have concluded an annual Pie and Braid sales fundraiser.
Items ordered can be picked up from 1-2 p.m. in the KMS Cafeteria on Nov. 5 unless the order was marked for delivery, which will also be delivered on Nov. 5.
The highest seller overall was Hailey Lambert, an eighth grade clarinet and saxophone player, the second highest seller was Bentley Schrader, an eighth grade trombonist, and the third highest seller was Peyson Reed, a sixth grade saxophonist. Other top sellers included sixth graders Blessing Takorbisong, an euphonium player, and Lydia Bailey and Kaylee Johnson, both percussionists.
The KMS bands and director would like to give a big thank you to the community members, band members and parent volunteers that helped out by supporting the sales, coming to help check order forms and helping calculate the funds.
Funds that are raised each year are managed by the Keokuk Band Boosters and help to pay for new instruments, additional teachers and clinicians, accompanists, music, instrument repairs, various supplies, meals at band events, and to cover trip costs.
