The students also interacted with author Danica Davidson who wrote several books on the list including, “The Rise of Herobrine: An Unofficial Overworld Adventure.”
The Hawthorne Team was the Odders and included Nova Caton, Natalie Cook, Dominic Custer, Kazzarian Stewart, Eli Mondon and Lennan Wray.
Two KMS teams participated and were the Chapter Champs, which included Lydia Bailey, Gavin Claus, Bryn Jinkens, Kaviahn Klusak, Patrick Takorbisong and Alivia Vaughn and the Page Ragers, which included Avery Bogert, Ava Buckner, Josh Higbie, Mia Miller, Haven Rickert and Rilyn Taylor.
Student participants demonstrate improved literacy skills, ability to work in teams and collaboration skills, confidence, and additional support in achieving educational goals. The competition also encouraged reading for pleasure.
