– Second through fifth grades are housed at Hawthorne.
– Hawthorne Elementary physical education teacher Kate Della Vedova was surprised when she won the Keokuk Community School District (KCSD) Teacher of the Year award for the 2023-24 school year.
– Janet Fife-LaFrenz was honored with a Friends of Hawthorne Award at an awards assembly in May 2024.
– Our students get to participate in multiple field trips throughout the year, as well as hands-on learning with guest speakers in class.
