KHS and KMS win big at the State Science and Technology Fair of Iowa

There were 20 Keokuk Middle School and 12 Keokuk High School students competed in the 69th Annual State Science and Technology Fair of Iowa on March 26 and 27 held in Ames, Iowa. Out of the 782 total students and 627 project from 85 schools represented, Keokuk students earned several awards and brought home more than $5,000 in scholarships and monetary prizes.

KHS Awards (KHS students brought home over $5,000 in scholarships and awards):

    • FFA: 2nd Place, Division V, in Plant Systems
    • Loras College Scholarship, $1000
    • 3rd Place in Senior Cellular and Molecular Biology
  • Alayna King

  • Jordan Sturm
    • FFA: 3rd Place, Division III, in Environmental Services/Natural Resource Systems
  • Harper Wesely
    • FFA: 3rd Place, Division III, in Animal Systems
  • Avery Totten

  • Landon Mondon
    • ISU Excellence in Global Impact Scholarship $250

The fair awarded more than $300,000 in awards and scholarships to Iowa students over the two day fair.
