Keokuk High School is excited to announce that Anthony Potratz has been hired as the new head boys basketball coach. Potratz is a former KHS basketball standout. During his playing days, he was known for his leadership, hard work and dedication to the program. His accomplishments on the court helped set a strong foundation for Keokuk basketball, and he remains one of the most respected players to come through the program.
Now, he returns to lead the same program where he made his mark as a player. Potratz has been involved in coaching and has a strong passion for helping student-athletes grow both on and off the court.
“We’re really happy to bring Anthony back to Keokuk,” Zach Summers, KCSD Activities Director, said. “He cares about our kids and our school, and we’re confident he’ll do a great job leading the basketball program.”
Potratz will begin his duties right away, and the school looks forward to the future of Keokuk basketball under his leadership.
