The top 13 Keokuk Middle School students traveled to Ottumwa to compete in the chapter level of the MathCounts competition at Indian Hills Community College.
The students competed in a sprint round, target round and four of the students competed in a team round. Peyson Reed finished in ninth place overall and qualified for the state MathCounts competition that will be held on March 26 in Des Moines and Londyn Olsen placed 11th and has a chance to qualify in one of the 10 at-large positions.

The MathCounts Competition Series starts at the school level, then moves to the chapter level, then the state level and from there to the national level.
