The Keokuk High School’s Junior Class Parents for a Safe After Prom organization has brought back “some old school fun” with the fundraiser Panther Car Smash for Cash during the Keokuk Homecoming festivities from Oct. 9-10 at KHS. Anyone interested in participating will pay a dollar to “take a whack” at the Panther-mobile, aptly. named in honor of the Keokuk Chiefs’ Homecoming game opponent the Mount Pleasant Panthers, with an assortment of provided hammers. The junior parents recommend the “K-Pride Sledgehammer.”
Panther Car Smash for Cash – Options include:
– $1 for 1 whack
– $5 for 7 whacks
– $10 for 15 whacks
– $20 to Go To Town with unlimited whacks

“Please help give the kids a great, memorable and safe after prom,” KHS Junior Class Parents for a Safe After Prom said.
Junior Class Parents for a Safe After Prom are especially thankful for Rairden’s Auto Salvage & Towing for allowing the group to “borrow a car” and prepare it for destruction, as well as a special thanks goes out to the local Sherwin Williams Keokuk store for a paint donation.
