VU Scholarships Partnership

Our partnership opens doors to higher education for students by reducing financial barriers.

KHS has continued our partnership with VU Scholarships, which is a scholarship program that automatically matches academic accomplishments of students with corresponding scholarship offers from colleges and universities before the students apply.

ELIGIBILTY
Students that are participating will receive personalized scholarship information from VU at an all-school assembly at 10:45 a.m. in Wright Fieldhouse on Thursday, Oct. 30, 2025.

FAST FACTS

  • – On average KHS juniors and seniors will receive multiple offers, up to 51.
  • – Scholarship amounts could be anywhere from $1,000 to $160,000 per college/university.
  • – Once a student has the list of opportunities, they can decide which college/university to apply for admission.
  • – Additional details on the student data that was provided to VU and more can be found on ParentSquare (parents/students were able to opt out).
  • – Near by participating colleges and universities include Culver-Stockton College, Drake University, Iowa State University, St. Ambrose University, Truman State University, University of Northern Ilinois, Western Illinois University,
  • – Near by high schools that also partner with VU include, Quincy Notre Dame, Iowa City Community School District, Collins-Maxwell, Valley Lutheran, South Tama, Belvidere (outside Rockford), and more.
