Congratulations to KHS student Alice Benedict who received a Gold Key Award from the Scholastic Art & Writing Awards competition on Saturday, March 7, at the University of Iowa Memorial Union. Alice displayed her painting “The Last LIght Left On” and was recognized for her achievement.
A Gold Key is a huge regional honor and all entries that win a Gold Key are automatically considered for national awards, including a Gold Medal, Silver Medal and scholarship awards. A list of all of the National Medalists will be published on the Scholastic Art & Writing Awards website later this Spring.
