The Keokuk Community School District is once again hosting a Back-to-School Bash from 4-5 p.m. on Thursday, Aug. 20, at Rand Park in Keokuk. Students and families can meet teachers, play games, learn about band instruments from the KHS Band, participate in activities and more.
The Bash will be followed by the KCSD Open Houses from 6-8 p.m. at George Washington and Hawthorne Elementary Schools, Keokuk Middle School and Keokuk High School for grades kindergarten through twelfth. Students can meet their teachers, walk their schedule and drop off school supplies. For a full list of school supplies, go to keokukschools.org and/or check your ParentSquare feed. The district will welcome students back for grades K-12 on Aug. 24 and for preschool on Sept. 1.
In case of inclement weather for the Back-To-School Bash, a ParentSquare alert will be sent out to district families with information.
Please note, that starting this fall for the 2026-27 school year, first through fifth grades are now housed at Hawthorne and preschool is with kindergarten at GW.
